I began my legal career in a setting that, on paper, many lawyers aim for. After attending the University of Chicago Law School, I joined a national law firm where I worked on complex matters for large corporate clients, including Fortune 500 companies. The work was demanding and intellectually rigorous, and I was fortunate to learn from excellent attorneys. But over time, I started to feel a disconnect—I rarely saw the people ultimately affected by the work, and I found myself wanting something more personal and meaningful.
That realization led me to estate planning. I was drawn to the idea of helping real people in my home of Nebraska make thoughtful decisions about their families, their values, and their future. It’s work that requires both technical care and genuine attention to what matters most to each client. I’ve found that when the process is handled well, it replaces anxiety with peace of mind. That’s what I aim to provide: a calm, straightforward experience that results in a plan you understand, feel confident in, and know will serve the people you care about.
